12 Days Tour around Morocco

Day 1: Marrakech

Let the Tour around Morocco begin! We will welcome you at the airport and accompany you to the hotel where you will rest, have dinner, and sleep for the night.

Day 2: Marrakech – Ouarzazate

It is through the neck of Tizi n’Tichka that we reach Ouarzazate. We will pass through the stunning village of Ait Benhaddou as well as the best-preserved parts of Morocco. Later, you will have dinner and stay overnight in Ouarzazate on this night of the Tour around Morocco.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges – Merzouga

Depart to Erg Chebbi through the ten thousand Kasbah valley. Arrive at the village of Roses and continue to Todra Gorge, a small town built at the foot of a palm and dominated by the ancient Kasbah Glaoui.

Rissani is our starting point for discovering the dunes of Merzouga and Erg Chebbi, which are famous for their dunes that stand near the desert walls. Sunrise or sunset is a colorful spectacle not to be missed. Dinner and an overnight stay await you at the desert camp underneath a sky of million stars.

Day 4: Merzouga desert

Our Tour around Morocco starts with a 4×4 tour around the dunes of Erg Chebbi in the Merzouga desert. We will visit a Berber family and Khamlia village, where we listen to Gnaoua music. We will visit Berber nomads and an oasis of palm trees in a nearby area.

After lunch in Merzouga, we ride camels in the dunes to reach the desert camp. We will spend this night in a desert Sahara camp where we will enjoy Berber drums music in the middle of the Moroccan Sahara. You will also enjoy the sunset and sunrise in the desert. After a traditional Moroccan dinner, we stay overnight in desert tents.

Day 5: Merzouga – Fes

We’ll depart to Ziz Valley, a mountain city juxtaposed with an ancient Kasbah. Situated at 1500m, it is the principal city of step between the High and Middle Atlas. Then, we’ll continue to Fes via the villages of Azrou and Ifrane. Dinner and an overnight stay in Fes.

Day 6: Fes guided tour

Founded in 790 by Moulay Idriss, Fes is the religious capital and intellectual and artistic center of Morocco. Discover Fes in a guided tour or the Tour around Morocco through the flowing maze of narrow winding streets, with stairways and walkways. Dinner and an overnight stay are expected in Fes.

Day 7: Fes – Meknes – Rabat

Depart to Rabat through the archaeological site of the Roman Volubilis. Meknes, with its 25km of walls, vast fields, and buildings parade of gigantic proportions is one of our stops. Later on, we’ll continue to Rabat. It is the capital that has a serene figure of successful planning.

Dinner and an overnight stay to be in Rabat.

Day 8: Rabat – El Jadida – Essaouira

Head to Oualidia between El Jadida and Safi. The road continues to Essaouira, the former Mogador. The city has a special character with its ancient walls. On our Tour around Morocco, explore the city and sunbathe on the beach of Essaouira.

Have dinner and stay overnight in Essaouira.

Day 9: Essaouira

Enjoy some free time to explore the busy port of Essaouira, stroll through the city’s famous medina, and browse through the vivid marketplaces.

Continue along the straight streets. Visit the ancient ports and lively fish markets during your leisure time. Please feel free to ask your tour guide for restaurant recommendations.

Learn about this popular local product by visiting a co-operative of Berber women who manufacture Argan oil. Moreover, explore the colorful marketplaces and cedar woodworking businesses, as well as the antique bronze cannons facing the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 10: Essaouira – Marrakech

Back to Marrakech, the beating heart of the Kingdom. The city is symbolized by the bustling Djemaa el Fna, the Koutoubia.

On this Tour around Morocco, you will have some free time to explore the Red City and its monuments and sleep overnight in Marrakech.

Day 11: Marrakech guided tour

We will explore Menara, the minaret of Koutoubia (the Twin tower of Giralda in Seville, in Spain), the tombs of Saadian which are composed of the splendid mausoleums built at the 16th century, and the gardens Majorelle. After lunch, we will explore the Souk near the famous Jamaa Efna square. Finally, you will have also the possibility to explore this square by yourself.

Day 12: Marrakech Airport

After breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport for your departure. That ends the 12-Day Tour around Morocco.
