5 Days Morocco Trip from Casablanca

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fes

Let’s start our Morocco Trip from Casablanca! We drive to Fes passing by Rabat and Meknes. We will visit the most important places in Casablanca and Rabat, which is the capital.

Then, we drive to Meknes and Volubilis to explore the Roman ruins. We head to Fes where we’ll stay overnight in a traditional Moroccan Riad.

Day 2: Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

After breakfast, we’ll continue our 5 Days Morocco Trip from Casablanca and head towards Ifrane, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco”.

We stop at Azrou, a Berber village near the cedar forest, where we may well watch Barbarian apes. Then, we’ll travel through Ziz valley passing a few Berber villages to Erfoud and then Rissani.

In Merzouga, we have dinner and breakfast in a local hotel.

Day 3: Merzouga – Desert camp

We’ll start exploring the desert area by visiting the Gnawa village of Khamlia to learn more about Gnawa music. Afterward, we may meet Nomad families still living under Berber tents in the Sahara desert. Then, we will visit Rissani to explore its local souk and later we will drive back to the village of Merzouga.

From here, we ride camels for about 90 minutes to arrive at the desert camp where we will spend this night in the dunes. We will enjoy the desert sunset and dinner will be served at the camp.

Day 4: Merzouga desert – Todra gorges – Dades gorges

Our tour continues. We ride camels back to Merzouga. After breakfast and a shower, we drive to Rissani, Tinghir, and Todra gorges. It is the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco.

After lunch, we’ll pass the Dades valley and the amazing rock formations known as monkey toes. Then, we will spend the night in a traditional Riad, with dinner and breakfast included.

Day 5: Dades gorges – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Marrakech

After breakfast, our Morocco trip from Casablanca continues to Skoura and Ouarzazate and goes through the spectacular High Atlas mountains.

We will visit Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, and Kasbat Talouet and pass Tizi n Tichka mountain passes to reach Marrakech to end our Morocco trip from Casablanca.
