Itinerary:

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fes

Let the 9-Day Morocco Tour from Casablanca begin! We will first explore the main sights of Casablanca and then drive to Rabat, the capital. We stop by the main attractions and monuments, then we head to Meknes followed by Fes where we’ll stay overnight in a local hotel.

Day 2: Fes

The tour of Fes includes both the old and new Medina. With a local guide in Fes, you will dedicate the day to discovering the oldest, an intellectual city in Morocco. You will start with the royal palace, the Jewish quarter, the uphill view from south Borj, and the ceramic pottery store and factory.

After all these places, you will go for a long walk inside the Medina to discover its cultural and historical spots including the famous Al Qaraouine University – the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum, and Mulay Idriss mausoleum.

After lunch, you’ll visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the new city “La Ville Nouvelle” for a drink.

You will stay overnight in a Riad.

Day 3: Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

After breakfast, we continue our 9-Day Morocco Tour from Casablanca by driving to Ifrane, which is a famous ski resort, called Switzerland of Morocco.

Then, we continue to Azrou stopping at the cedar forest to see the Barbarian Apes. We continue towards Midelt in the Atlas Mountains. Our Morocco Tour from Casablanca goes on from Midelt to the Ziz valley with a stop in Erfoud, Rissani, and finally, we’ll reach Merzouga.

We will ride camels to a desert camp guided by an experienced camel guide in the middle of Erg Chebbi. The desert camel trek takes about 90 minutes to reach the camp. Then, we’ll enjoy the sunset over the dunes, and dinner will be served near the campfire. We will spend this night in desert tents in the desert.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert Camel Trek

We’ll start exploring the desert area by visiting the Gnawa village of Khamlia, where we will learn more about Gnawa music. Afterward, we’ll meet Nomad families still living under Berber tents in the Sahara desert.

We visit Rissani to explore its local souk. Later, we will drive back to the village of Merzouga. From here, we ride camels for about 90 minutes to arrive at the desert camp where we will spend this night in the dunes. We will enjoy the desert sunset and dinner will be served at the camp.

Day 5: Merzouga desert – Todra gorges – Dades gorges

We will watch the sunrise in the desert and ride camels back to the village. After breakfast in the Riad, you’ll leave for Rissani, Tinghir, and Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco.

After lunch in the heart of the gorge, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Overnight accommodation will be in a fancy hotel overlooking the Dades valley.

Day 6: Dades valley – Roses valley – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

After breakfast in the hotel, you will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip in both the valley rose roses and cinema city of Ouarzazate passing by Ait Benhaddou Kasbah.

It is the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by Thami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains. It used to be one of his stops during his long travel from the Sahara to Marrakech. It also is one of the UNESCO heritage sites. After that, we will shift the way to cross the High Atlas mountains full of panoramic views and attractive Berber villages all along the way to Marrakech.

Day 7: Marrakech guided tour

We will visit important places in Marrakesh: its architecture, the ancient Medina, and the grand historical monuments (tombs, mosques, Kasbahs…). We can’t leave Marrakesh without experiencing the Jamaa El Fna Plaza. We stay here in a local hotel in the capital of tourism in Morocco.

Day 8: Free day in Marrakech

Visit the Arabic palaces and old Koran school for a taste of Morocco’s culture and history. Go to the Menara Garden and the Souk where many guild artisans can be watched as they work beautiful tapestries, fabrics, leather, and exotic spices.

Head to the Plaza Jamaa el Fna to watch Berber musicians, snake charmers, fortune-tellers, snake charmers, fire-eaters, and storytellers.

Day 9 : Marrakech – Casablanca

We’ll go back to Casablanca to end our 9-Day Morocco Tour from Casablanca.
