10 Days Tour from Tangier to Marrakech
This ten-day Morocco tour is not an extended version of a shorter trip. It is a fundamentally different relationship with Morocco. Beginning in Tangier, where the Mediterranean meets Africa across fourteen kilometers of open water, this unique 10 private journey crosses every landscape, every culture, and every century that this extraordinary country contains. The forgotten Andalusian medina of Tetouan. The blue labyrinth of Chefchaouen. Roman mosaics at Volubilis that have survived two thousand years of North African sun. The imperial grandeur of Meknes. Two full days inside the ancient soul of Fes. Two nights sleeping under a Sahara sky that has no rival anywhere on earth. And two days in Marrakech—finally, enough time to understand why travelers return to this city for the rest of their lives. This is not a highlight reel. This is Morocco, completely and without compromise, crafted privately by Dahbi Morocco Tours entirely around you.

Day 2–4: Chefchaouen
Day 4: Volubilis
Day 4–5: Meknes
Day 5–7: Fes
Day 7–9: Merzouga

Why This 10 Days Is the Perfect Morocco Grand Tour
Ten days is the only itinerary that leaves nothing out. Every city worth visiting, every landscape worth crossing, and every experience that defines Morocco, all in one seamless private journey.
Four Imperial Cities : All of Them
Morocco has four imperial capitals: Fes, Meknes, Marrakech, and Rabat. This tour covers three in full depth , Fes over two days, Meknes as a dedicated stop, and two full days in Marrakech. No other itinerary from Tangier delivers all three with genuine time at each. Add Tetouan and Chefchaouen and you have five extraordinary cities in ten days.
Volubilis: Africa's Greatest Roman Ruins
The best-preserved Roman ruins in Africa sit on a hill above the Meknès plain, largely unknown to most international travelers. Triumphal arch, mosaic floors, and olive presses still standing after two thousand years, a stop that reframes your entire understanding of Morocco's ancient history.
Tetouan: The Forgotten Spanish-Moorish City
Unlike Tangier or Chefchaouen, Tetouan draws almost no international visitors — which makes it one of the most authentic medina experiences in Morocco. Its whitewashed Andalusian architecture, Spanish colonial buildings, and genuine local life offer a perspective that no other northern city provides.
Two Full Days in Marrakech: Finally Enough
Marrakech is not a city you can exhaust in one evening. Two full days allow for the Majorelle Garden, the Bahia Palace, a hammam ritual, the souks at leisure, a cooking class in the medina, and two separate rooftop dinners—one looking at the Koutoubia, the other looking at the Djemaa el-Fna below.
10 Days Tour from Tangier: Day by Day From North-to-south
Ten days of extraordinary variety, each one paced for depth rather than distance. Click any day to explore the full programme.
Mediterranean Gateway → Andalusian Medina:
Your private driver meets you at Tangier port or airport for a welcome orientation, a walk through the kasbah, a coffee above the Strait of Gibraltar, and the first sense of what Morocco smells like when the salt and spice mix together. An hour south along the Rif foothills brings you to Tetouan, Morocco's most underrated northern city. The whitewashed Spanish-Moorish medina awaits , UNESCO-listed, entirely authentic, and almost completely tourist-free. Afternoon free for independent exploration. Overnight in a charming riad in the old town.
- Tangier Kasbah & Strait panorama
- Tetouan medina UNESCO visit
- Andalusian architecture walk
- First riad dinner in the north
Andalusian Medina → Blue Rif Mountains:
A morning walk through Tetouan's souk, where the spice sellers, fabric sellers, and daily market have barely changed in a hundred years. You drive into the Rif Mountains after noon and get to Chefchaouen as the light turns to afternoon gold. One of the best first impressions of any trip to Morocco is walking through the blue alleys for the first time before the day visitors leave. Dinner on the roof above the medina, with the mountains turning purple behind the minarets.
- Tetouan morning souk walk
- Rif Mountains valley drive
- Chefchaouen first blue alley walk
- Rooftop dinner, mountain backdrop
Sunrise Medina · Hike · Workshops · Sunset:
Chefchaouen has a whole day to itself. Get up before 7 a.m. to see the medina at sunrise. The light makes every blue wall look like something more than color. Walk to the Ras Elma waterfall, where people wash carpets in the cold mountain stream. Around 10:00 AM, go to the souk and the Grande Mosquée square. In the afternoon, you can take a pottery class, watch a weaving demonstration, or go on a guided hike through the cedar forest above the city. The most beautiful hour of the day in northern Morocco is sunset from the Spanish Mosque viewpoint.
- Pre-dawn medina — completely empty
- Ras Elma waterfall & forest hike
- Pottery or weaving workshop
- Spanish Mosque sunset panorama
Blue City · Roman Ruins · Imperial Capital:
Leave Chefchaouen after having one last coffee in the medina in the morning. Drive south through the Rif and the rolling hills of the Zerhoun plateau to Volubilis, which has the best Roman ruins in Africa. Your guide brings the old city to life with the triumphal arch of Caracalla, the mosaic floors of the House of Orpheus, and the olive presses that are still standing after two thousand years. Go on to Meknes, the forgotten imperial capital, for a walk through the huge Bab Mansour gateway and dinner in the medina.
- Volubilis Roman ruins — private visit
- Caracalla arch & Orpheus mosaics
- Bab Mansour gate, Meknes
- Meknes medina dinner
Imperial Capital → Spiritual Heart of Morocco:
In the morning in Meknes, you can see the granaries of Moulay Ismail (which can hold up to 12,000 horses), the Sultan's mausoleum, and the huge Heri es-Souani storage complex. You can get to Fes in forty minutes by car. Come in the early afternoon to see the famous blue gate at the entrance to the medina, Bab Bou Jeloud. Your guide will take you on a short walk through the inner streets to get you ready for tomorrow's deeper exploration. Dinner in a restored palace in Fassi, above the medina.
- Moulay Ismail granaries & mausoleum
- Heri es-Souani stables complex
- Bab Bou Jeloud first impression
- Palace dinner, Fes medina
Tanneries · Madrasas · Cooking Class · Souk:
You will still want more time after spending a whole day in the world's most complicated medieval city. In the morning, you and your private guide will visit the Chouara tanneries from a private rooftop platform, the Bou Inania Medersa with its amazing tilework and carved cedar, the Al-Qarawiyyin mosque courtyard, and the brass-beaters' souk. In the afternoon, you will take a private Fassi cooking class with a local family and learn how to make bastilla, harira, and preserved lemon chicken. Dinner in a palace lit by lanterns is one of the best food experiences in Morocco.
- Chouara tanneries private platform
- Bou Inania Medersa zellige & cedar
- Private Fassi cooking class
- Candlelit palace dinner
Imperial Fes → Gateway of the Sahara:
The long drive south goes through the Middle Atlas cedar forests of Azrou, where Barbary macaques can be seen on the side of the road, across the plateau of Midelt, and into the Ziz Gorges, where the landscape starts to look more like the moon. The Sahara slowly shows itself: the air dries out, the palms grow, and then the Erg Chebbi dunes come into view. They are huge, amber, and completely still. Your fancy camp greets you with mint tea. A camel ride into the dunes at sunset, a Berber dinner under the stars that start to show up before the sun has completely set, and the first night in the desert with no noise at all.
- Azrou cedar forest — Barbary macaques
- Ziz Gorges panoramic stop
- Sunset camel trek, Erg Chebbi
- Night 1 in luxury Sahara camp
Dune Sunrise · 4×4 · Oasis · Night 2:
Get up at 5 a.m. and climb the nearest dune in the dark. As the sun rises over the Sahara, first a deep red on the horizon, then amber, and finally a full flood of gold across every dune, you will see why people go back to the desert year after year. After breakfast at camp, a private 4x4 trip into the deeper Sahara to see the fossil beds of Kem Kem, a nomadic Berber family's camp, and the palm trees in the oasis of Merzouga village. In the afternoon, you can relax by sandboarding, riding a quad bike (optional), or just being quiet. Second camel trek at sunset. Second dinner with Berber. Second night of perfection.
- Sahara sunrise dune climb — 5am
- Private 4x4 deep desert excursion
- Nomadic Berber camp visit
- Night 2 at Sahara stars & silence
Draa Valley · Aït Benhaddou · Tizi n'Tichka:
A long but very rewarding last day of driving. The Draa Valley palmeries are Morocco's most cinematic road, going west from Merzouga. Aït Benhaddou is one of Africa's most amazing earthen structures and is on the UNESCO list. Stop there for a full guided tour. After lunch in Ouarzazate, head north through the Tizi n'Tichka pass. This is the highest road in North Africa, at 2,260 meters. The Atlas peaks are covered in snow, and Berber villages cling to the sides of cliffs on both sides. Get to Marrakech in the evening for a first dinner on the roof and the exciting energy of the Djemaa el-Fna below.
- Draa Valley palmeries road
- Aït Benhaddou UNESCO kasbah
- Tizi n'Tichka — 2,260m pass
- First Marrakech rooftop dinner
Majorelle · Bahia · Hammam · Medina · Djemaa:
The big finish of the big tour. A whole last day to see Marrakech at a pace that a five-day itinerary can't match. In the morning, visit the Majorelle Garden, Yves Saint Laurent's cobalt-blue botanical masterpiece, and the Bahia Palace, which has painted ceilings and an orange courtyard. A traditional hammam ritual in the medina at noon. In the afternoon, the souks are busy with leather workers, spice merchants, lamp makers, and carpet weavers. The Koutoubia terrace looks out over the sunset. A final dinner on the roof while the Djemaa el-Fna fills up below and the call to prayer echoes across ten days in amazing Morocco.
- Majorelle Garden & YSL Museum
- Bahia Palace & Saadian Tombs
- Traditional hammam ritual
- Final rooftop dinner — Djemaa el-Fna
Not Enough Time for 10 Days? We Have the Perfect Solution.
Ten days is our most complete private journey from Tangier, but we understand that not every traveler has ten days to give. Dahbi Morocco Tours offers the same expert guides, the same handpicked luxury riads, and the same 100% private experience across shorter itineraries built for exactly that situation. Our 5-day tour from Tangier covers the essential arc of Morocco : Chefchaouen, Fes, the Sahara, and Marrakech, in five focused and deeply rewarding days. For those who can allow a little more time, our 8-day tour from Tangier adds a second Sahara night, two full days in Fes, the Atlantic jewel of Asilah, and the dramatic canyon country of Todra and Dades. Both tours follow the same north-to-south private route, and both are available to customize entirely around your travel dates and group.
Ten Days of Exceptional Moments
Every highlight in this grand tour is exclusive to the 10-day itinerary , stops that shorter tours simply cannot reach.
Tetouan's Spanish Medina
The most authentic Andalusian city in Morocco, with whitewashed houses, Spanish colonial facades, and a medina that is so well-preserved that it was named a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997. There are very few tourists from other countries. Entirely real.
Chefchaouen — Two Full Days
Two mornings in the Blue City before the people get there. The Spanish Mosque hike at dusk, a pottery workshop, and time to just sit in the Plaza Uta el-Hammam and watch the world go by at the city's own pace.
Volubilis Roman Ruins
The best Roman archaeological site in Africa, with triumphal arches, intact mosaic floors, and olive presses on a hilltop above the Meknès plain. A stop that completely changes how we think about Morocco's role in world history.
Meknes — The Forgotten Imperial City
Fewer tourists than Fes, but just as grand. Most tourists drive right past the monumental Bab Mansour gate, the royal granaries, and the mausoleum of Sultan Moulay Ismail on their way to Fes.
Fes: Two Days in the Medina
Tanneries, madrasas, the Al-Qarawiyyin, the dyers' souk, a private Fassi cooking class, and a long dinner by candlelight in a restored palace. Two days in Fes is still not enough, but it's the closest any schedule comes to doing it right.
Two Sahara Nights - Erg Chebbi
Everything changes after a second night in the desert. One camel trek at sunset, one dawn from the dunes, a full day of exploring by 4x4, sandboarding, and a second evening of complete silence under a sky that is unlike any other on Earth.
Aït Benhaddou UNESCO Kasbah
The most beautiful building in Morocco is an earthen fortress that rises from the Draa Valley riverbed. UNESCO-listed, famous in movies (Gladiator, Game of Thrones), and even more impressive in person than any picture shows.
Marrakech — Two Full Days
The big finish needs enough time. A trip to the Majorelle Garden, Bahia Palace, a traditional hammam, the Djemaa el-Fna during the day and at night, a leisurely walk through the souk, and a final rooftop dinner above the glowing skyline of the medina.
The Tizi n'Tichka Pass
The High Atlas has the highest paved road in North Africa, which is 2,260 meters long. Snow-capped peaks, Berber villages built right into the sides of cliffs, and views that stretch all the way from the Sahara to the Atlantic plain of Marrakech.

What Separates Local Expertise from a Travel Algorithm
We are not an aggregator, a booking platform, or a European company subcontracting to a Moroccan driver. Dahbi Morocco Tours is a Moroccan company founded and operated by local guides who grew up on these roads, speak the Tachelhit and Tamazight dialects used by the people of the south, and have established relationships with the riad owners, camp families, and local artisans we recommend.
That specificity matters more than any certification. When we tell you to take a particular road across the Atlas in the afternoon rather than the morning because of the direction of the light—that is not something we learned in a training program. It is something you learn after driving a hundred times with travelers from twenty countries.

One of the best experiences
“The second Sahara night was the single greatest decision of our trip. Waking up at 5am and climbing the dunes alone for sunrise — just the two of us and total silence — is something we will never forget. The 10-day tour is absolutely the right choice.”
— James & Emma W. 🇬🇧 — Edinburgh, UK
★★★★★
Awesome tour to see Morocco
“Asilah was a complete surprise — we had never heard of it before and it was one of the highlights of the entire trip. Dahbi Tours knows how to build an itinerary that goes beyond the obvious. Two days in Fes with our guide was also worth every extra day we gave it.
— Christine R. 🇺🇸 — Boston, USA

Fantastic experience — 2 female solo travelers
“Todra Gorge stopped us cold. We drove in and just stood there in silence for ten minutes. It is that overwhelming. The whole 10-day route is perfectly paced — we never felt rushed, never felt we had missed something. This is the tour we will recommend to everyone.”
— Pierre & Anne-Sophie M. 🇫🇷 — Bordeaux, France

Everything Travelers Ask Before Booking Morocco Tours from Tangier
Everything you need to know before confirming your 5-day morocco travel itinerary with Dahbi Morocco Tours.
The 10-day tour has three important stops that the 8-day tour can't get to: Tetouan is Morocco's most authentic Andalusian medina, and it is almost completely free of tourists. Volubilis is Africa's largest Roman ruins, and Meknes is the forgotten imperial capital with Morocco's most impressive city gate. It also gives you two full days in Marrakech instead of just one evening, which completely changes the last part of the trip.
Yes, the 10-day tour is perfect for first-time visitors because it covers everything Morocco has to offer, and you'll have your own guide the whole time. You'll never feel like you have too much to do or are in a hurry. Your guide gives you context and direction at every stop so that the experience feels whole instead of broken up.
Yes, your private driver will meet you right at Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport or Tanger-Med Ferry Port. The last stop on the tour is Marrakech, where you will be taken to your riad or Menara Airport for your next flight. When you book, give them your arrival information, and they will take care of all the transfers ahead of time, so you don't have to do any extra planning.
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are optimal. Both seasons offer mild temperatures across all ten destinations, comfortable Sahara nights, and dramatic Atlas lighting. April is particularly special — the almond and cherry blossoms are out in the mountains, and the Rose Valley of Kelaat M'Gouna (passed on Day 9) is in full bloom. Summer is possible but Sahara temperatures exceed 45°C — manageable with the right preparation.
Yes — every tour is 100% private and completely customizable. We can add stops (Asilah, Todra Gorge, Dades Valley), extend time in any city, swap accommodations, or restructure the route entirely. Contact us with your travel dates and priorities and we will rebuild the itinerary around your group at no extra cost in most cases.
The 10-day tour is our most comprehensive standard itinerary— carefully crafted to deliver the complete Morocco experience for private groups. For travelers who want an entirely bespoke journey — custom accommodation selection, unique experiences, exclusive access, or a route that combines Morocco with another destination — our luxury bespoke service builds the journey from scratch around your specifications. Contact us to discuss what that might look like for your travel dates.

What Our Clients Say About Morocco Tour from Tangier
EXCELLENT Based on 146 reviews Posted on Sheena RVerified One of the best experiences Just leaving Morocco after an absolutely spectacular experience with Dahbi. We began our trip in Casablanca and ended in Marrakech. He was so amazing and one of the most memorable parts of the trip! He was incredibly kind and very accommodating. It’s not easy to travel with a toddler and he always kept her happy by finding a cat and always keeping her entertained. She loves cats. We learned a lot about Moroccan life, history, and culture from him. As a travel professional, I was a little anxious about having someone else take care of the trip details, but everything was fantastic. I never allow anyone to take care of my travel arrangements since I am very picky and but I was pleased with the quality of service. Our driver drove us in very comfortable Mercedes minivan. I especially enjoyed our Raid in Dades and the tent in the desert. They were absolutely amazing, as was the food served there. At the desert campsite, we were treated to drumming by local musicians. We were surprised to see Dahbi drumming along with them! It turns out that he’s a man of many talents. The campsite was beautiful. It was a great experience. Dahbi was so knowledgeable and engaging. He also took me to a spa where I had the most amazing Hammam experience and massage. I felt so relaxed and very clean afterwards. Dhabi also took fantastic pictures and videos of my family and I. I highly recommend Dahbi He will provide you with an unforgettable, uniquely Moroccan experience. I miss them and Morocco already.Posted on YumelyVerified Amazing memories with the best people! We just come back to Marrakech from our three days tour to Merzouga. I’m been working for a few months with Houssain, he’s amazing! Very responsive, professional and absolutely honest. Although every detail was planned with him, our tour driver and guide was Mohamed. We couldn’t have a more perfect, pleasant and enjoyable trip! Mohamed was a phenomenal driver, we felt safe all the time. He was funny, respectful, professional, knowledgeable. Every detail of the trip was carefully prepared by Houssain, the Sahara camp, ATV ride, camels ride, local food, entertainment, etc. everything was flawless!! I have to be honest planning everything through WhatsApp messages, could be a little risky at times. But you can tell by the reviews, that Houssain and Mohamed represent this company very well! Good job guys! My family and I are thankful to visiting your beautiful Country and have such a wonderful memories with you! Thank you very much!Posted on MirosVerified Increíble experiencia!! Dahbi Morocco tours desde el inicio a nuestra llegada a marrakech con nuestro guía Houssain quién en todo momento nos brindó seguridad en cada visita a los hermosos museos en el primer día. I had an amazing experiance with Dahbi Tour company. Throughout the entire trip, they took care of us . They picked my friend and I up from the airport in a reliable car and drove us to Marrekesh . The drivers driving skills were professional as well. All the activities we participated were fun, safe and educational. Our tour guide and driver were extremely professional throughout the trip and had a great personality. We had the chance to see the via hike the Atlas mountains and have lunch at a local Berber house and the food was amazing. Not only that, we went to the Blue City , Marrakesh, and Fes . We were 100 percent of the time in safe hands. I would recommend this tour company to anyone who is going to Morocco. Best of luck to this family owned company! When I go back to visit again, I will use you again:)Posted on Kasra RVerified Highly Recommend I booked this Tour with Dahbi and Zakaria. I have to say the tour itself was incredible and I have no complaints. They picked us up in a Mercedes Benz Van, drive us to all the important spots, help us bargain for goods, and make sure we were completely taken care of. They were very kind, accommodating and informative. On the first day I lost my glasses at one of the sights, after we arrived at the hotel, Dahbi and Zakaria took me to a optician where they helped me bargain for glasses and purchase a pair. This act of kindness from them saved my trip. Also the camel riding was a once in a lifetime experience and one you can’t miss out on.Posted on Kelly WVerified Fantastic experience I just finished my week vacation in Morocco and this tour company was amazing every step of the way- from the planning stages (very responsive) to the drop off at the airport. As 2 female travelers, my friend and my priorities were to feel safe while still being adventurous. We felt very comfortable during our time in Casablanca, Marrakech, Essouira, the Atlas Mountains, Agafay Desert, Fes, and Chefchaouen. Our tour guide Houssain went above and beyond, we felt catered to and very well taken care of. He was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. And there were a lot!Posted on Timo BVerified Amazing experience We've booked a full tour which included an unforgettable night in the Sahara, traveling through the Atlas Mountains und saw so much secret / hidden places due to the knowledge and experience of our guides.
