10-Day Tour of Morocco from Casablanca. You will see so many wonderful places in these 10 days and 9 nights. The tour starts with a trip to the city of Casablanca. Then there is Rabat, the capital of Morocco. The tour also includes a visit to Chefchaouen, known as the blue city, and the Roman ruins of Volubilis. In addition to visiting Meknes, the Ismaili capital; Fes, the cultural city; and Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco. Then we drive south through the cedar forest, Midelt, the beautiful Ziz Valley, and the traditional market in Rissani.

Erfoud is a town with fossils and Merzouga is in the Sahara desert. You can ride camels and stay in a fancy camp in the middle of the desert. You can also see beautiful sunrises and sunsets in the Sahara. Thereafter, take a walk through the beautiful Todra and Dades gorges. Go to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Go over the Tizi-n-Tichka pass and the High Atlas mountains. Thereafter, take a tour of Marrakech with a local. The last stop on the 10-day tour is Casablanca.

Detailed Itinerary of 10 Days Tour from Casablanca

1st Day : Arrival to Casablanca – Visit The Largest City Of Morocco (1 Hours Drive)

On your first day in Morocco, we’ll meet you at the airport or your hotel in Casablanca, the country’s largest city and economic hub. Your trip starts with a visit to the amazing Hassan II Mosque, which is atop a cliff that looks out over the Atlantic Ocean. The mosque is the biggest in Morocco, and its beautiful architecture and location by the sea make it a must-see.

We proceed to see the best parts of Casablanca after a break for lunch. The tour may include:

  • Mohammed V Square is a busy civic center with colonial-style buildings.
  • A picture stop at the famous Rick’s Café, which was inspired by the movie Casablanca
  • A beautiful walk along the lively Corniche of Casablanca

2nd Day : Casablanca – Rabat the capital ( 1.5 hours drive )

On the second day, make your way to Rabat, Morocco’s capital city, located just an hour’s drive north of Casablanca. Rabat offers a blend of historical charm and modern elegance. Start with a visit to the Royal Palace, the official residence of King Mohammed VI, followed by the Hassan Tower, an incomplete minaret of a grand mosque built in the 12th century.

3rd Day : From Rabat to Chefchaouen the blue city( 4 Hours Drive )

Depart Rabat in the morning and embark on a scenic drive to Chefchaouen, the famed Blue City nestled in the Rif Mountains. The drive takes approximately four hours, offering plenty of opportunities to enjoy the changing landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and spend the afternoon exploring the charming streets of Chefchaouen.

The town is renowned for its striking blue-painted buildings, which create a serene and picturesque atmosphere. Wander through the medina, visit the Plaza Uta el-Hammam, and enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal at a local restaurant. As the sun sets, the blue hues of the city take on a magical quality, providing perfect photo opportunities.

4th Day : Chefchaouen to Fes imperial city ( 4 Hours Drive )

Spend the morning soaking up the tranquility of Chefchaouen before setting off for Fes, one of Morocco’s most historic and culturally rich cities. The drive to Fes takes around four hours, allowing for a relaxed pace with stops to admire the scenery. Arrive in Fes in the late afternoon and check into your hotel.

Spend the evening exploring the city’s vibrant medina, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the world. Wander through the narrow alleys and bustling markets, and enjoy the sensory overload of sights, sounds, and smells that define Fes.

5th Day : Sightseeing Fes with a Local Guide ( 3hrs to 4hrs walking Tour )

We’ll pick you up from your Riad in Fes after breakfast to begin your immersive exploration of one of Morocco’s most iconic imperial cities — Fes, the country’s cultural and spiritual heart.

Your journey starts with a driving tour. First, we’ll stop at the magnificent Royal Palace Gate, followed by a visit to “The Mellah”, the historic Jewish Quarter. Then, enjoy breathtaking views from the Borj Sud fortress, offering a stunning overlook of the ancient Medina. The final stop of this portion is the Ceramic Village & School, where you’ll witness traditional craftsmanship in action.

Next, a walking Tour, step back in time as you enter the medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved historic towns in the Arab world. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide, you’ll explore highlights such as the Al Attarine Madrasa, the University and Mosque of Al Quaraouiyine — considered the oldest existing university in the world — and the colorful Chouara Tanneries, where leather is dyed using centuries-old methods.

After this unforgettable journey through history, you’ll be returned to your riad to Relax

6th Day : Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara ( 7 Hours Drive )

We drive south through Imouzzer to Ifrane after breakfast. The city is known for its cold weather, snow, and residences built in the manner of the Alps. It’s not hard to see why it’s known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” The excursion then goes on to the cedars woodland, where the Barbary macaques live. While you’re walking in the woods, you can feed them. We then go on to Midelt, where we will have some free time for lunch. Thereafter, we travel across the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and the Ziz valley to get to Merzouga. There will be stops along the way to see the whole picture.

In the afternoon, we get to the Merzouga Sahara desert. You then ride camels (or take a 4×4 conveyance) over the sandy desert. You will halt at the top of a high dune to watch the sun go down. You finally go to the desert camp. The camp has both the traditional tents that nomads use and the comforts of a hotel. Under a wide open sky full of stars, you can dance around the campfire and listen to the Berber drums. Enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night in the camp.

7th Day : Merzouga Desert Excursion – Nomads – Eyeliner mine – Khamlia ( Gnawa Village ) – Erg Chebbi – Palm groves ( 2 Hrs Drive )

You have to get up early in the morning to see the stunning sunrise in the middle of the desert. Time to eat breakfast. Then you can return to Merzouga using either the camp’s 4×4 vehicle or camels to traverse the sand dunes, or you may choose to use ATVs for an additional cost. The driver will be waiting for you there. We will spend the sixth day of your ten-day trip to Morocco exploring the Merzouga area. There are so many amazing places in the area, like sand dunes, a wild lake, mines, fossil sites, and beautiful oasis. These are great spots for a lot of outdoor activities.

We start our trip in Merzouga by driving off-road to see an old eyeliner mine. Thereafter, we go to see the nomads in their tent, which they created by themselves. While drinking Berber tea, find out how they live. Next, we’ll go to the village of Khamlia, where you may enjoy Gnaoua music and dance performances. People who live there come from nations south of the Sahara, such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger. You will have some free time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Then we go through a grove of palm palms, which is like a modern desert oasis.

We will have dinner and spend the night in either a Riad or a camp.

8th Day : Merzouga to Boumalne Dades

Wake up early to witness a stunning sunrise over the dunes, a sight that will stay with you forever. After breakfast, leave Merzouga and head towards Boumalne Dades. Along the way, make a stop at the Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon with towering rock walls that create a dramatic natural corridor.

Continue to Boumalne Dades, a charming town situated at the edge of the Dades Valley. Check into your accommodation and spend the evening exploring the valley, known for its rugged beauty and unique rock formations. The Dades Valley offers excellent hiking opportunities, with trails that lead through picturesque landscapes and traditional Berber villages.

9th Day : Boumalne Dades to Marrakech

On the ninth day, depart from Boumalne Dades and begin your journey to Marrakech. The drive takes you through the High Atlas Mountains, offering breathtaking views and opportunities to stop and take in the scenery. A highlight of the day is a visit to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and iconic ksar (fortified village) that has appeared in numerous films and television series.

Continue your journey through the Tizi n’Tichka pass, the highest major mountain pass in North Africa, before descending into the plains surrounding Marrakech. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon and check into your hotel. Spend the evening exploring the vibrant Jemaa el-Fnaa square, where you can experience a sensory overload of sights, sounds, and flavors.

10th Day : Exploring Marrakech

Dedicate your final day to exploring the wonders of Marrakech. Start with a visit to the Koutoubia Mosque, with its iconic minaret visible from across the city. Next, head to the Bahia Palace, a stunning example of Moroccan architecture with its intricate tile work and lush gardens.

Wander through the souks, where you can shop for spices, textiles, and handicrafts, and then visit the Jardin Majorelle, a beautiful garden designed by French artist Jacques Majorelle and later restored by Yves Saint Laurent. As your journey comes to an end, take some time to reflect on the incredible experiences of the past 10 days.
