5 Days Morocco Sahara Tour from Marrakesh
Overview:
This is a Morocco Sahara tour from Marrakesh, which includes evening entertainment and an overnight stay in tents under the stars. On this tour, expect to stop by the southern picturesque towns of Morocco, too!
Itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakesh – Telouet – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate
We will start the Sahara tour from Marrakesh at 8 am towards the High Atlas Tizi n’Tichka (2260 m). We go through Telouat to visit the ancient beautiful Kasbah of Glaoui. Then, we’ll stop by the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
After lunch at the Kasbah, we continue to Ouarzazate to have a Film studio and Kasbah Taourirt tour. Have dinner and stay overnight in Ouarzazate.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Dades gorges – Todra gorges
After breakfast, depart to Ouarzazate through the nomad valley. Visit the magnificent Kasbah Amridil. Then, head to the Valley of Roses, crossing the Berber towns.
Have lunch in the Dades Gorges and a small walk through the valley of the figs. Return to the Palmerie to spend a night in the heart of gorges.
Day 3: Todra gorges – Rissani – Merzouga desert
After breakfast and a 2h walk in the Todra palm gorges, we hit the road to Merzouga via Tourog, Erfoud, and its famous marbles. We visit Rissani, the former capital of Morocco, and follow the track to the desert of Merzouga & Erg Chebbi.
Arrive at the foot of the dunes in Dromedaries to at the bivouac (Berber tent) following the 200m dunes in height. Enjoy the sunset, mint tea, dinner, evening entertainment, and an overnight stay in tents or under the stars.
Day 4: Merzouga desert – Nkob – Draa valley
In the morning, depart for the Draa Valley through Rissani (Cradle of the Alawite dynasty) through to Bougafer Mountain.
Have lunch in N’kob, the first village of Draa. In the afternoon, we’ll reach the road of 1000 Kasbahs. En route, we’ll see the vistas of Draa Valley and arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and a night at a hotel.
Day 5: Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, visit the city of Ouarzazate, Kasbah Taourirt, the museum, and the Oasis of Fint. We’ll pass through the village of Ighram Nogdal and have lunch in Tadarte.
We’ll go back to Marrakech at 5:00 p.m. That ends our Sahara tour from Marrakesh.
